Popular Bollywood franchise ‘Housefull’ has now gone beyond bounds. They have started filming for its fifth outing ‘Housefull 5’ in the scenic locations of Devon, UK. Notably, it also becomes the first prominent Bollywood movie to be shot in this territory.
Where was it filmed in Devon?
The film’s colorful scenes are shot across a number of picturesque locations in Devon, chosen by the production team. The picturesque town of Sidmouth has been a standout set location with the Harbour View Hotel being one of the main places used. The peaceful beaches of Beer have also been used for certain scenes in “Housefull 5”.
Cast and Crew
‘Housefull 5’ is a film in the ‘Housefull’ franchise featuring big stars like Akshay Kumar, Riteish Deshmukh and Abhishek Bachchan. Mansukhani directed the film, which was produced by Sajid Nadiadwala and his banner Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment. The film’s comedic and adventurous storyline lends itself to separate filming locations at the same time. The production team is looking forward to showcasing Devon’s natural beauty through “Housefull 5”.
Filming Schedule
Filming in the UK started in early September 2024 where the crew took to a luxury cruise liner for a number of days. New period drama Tess of the d’Urbervilles filmed in Sidmouth between October 2 and October 10, 2024. The UK leg of the shoot will likely conclude by then and following that, the team will head to continue shoot in Mumbai for more scenes of Housefull 5.
Community Engagement
Filming has also seen the local community get involved. Students from Beer Primary School were lucky enough to go on set to learn the dances featured in the film “Housefull 5”. Another impact of this will be pride in the community as residents are enthusiastic to see their town on the big screen through Housefull 5.
