Truth prevails Raise voice

Just weeks after the death of her dog Blu, Louise Redknapp introduces a lovely new puppy

Louise Redknapp has introduced fans to her new puppy this week, following the passing of another of her dogs.

The new arrival comes just a few weeks after the singer, 47, announced that her beloved dog Blubelle – whom she had shared with ex-husband Jamie Redknapp, 48 – had died.

The performer – who has two sons with Jamie, whom she divorced in 2017 – was devastated by the loss last month, with her having expressed her heartache on social media.

The musician – who was previously a member of band Eternal – has now announced that she has welcomed a bulldog called Banksy Blu into her family.

Louise shared footage of the new arrival on Instagram yesterday, with her opening up about the impact of losing Blubelle on the family’s other dog, Rudi.

She said: “We were so devastated losing our girl Blubelle a few weeks ago, and we really noticed a change in Rudi’s behaviour so we decided a little brother might be what he needs.”

The singer added: “Say hello to Banksy Blu… he’s definitely settled in.” She further commented that her new four-legged companion is “a beaut.”

Blubelle was one of the two dogs that Louise and former footballer Jamie shared with their sons Charley Redknapp, 17, and Beau Redknapp, 13.

Announcing the dog’s passing last month, Louise wrote in a tribute to her: “I am absolutely heartbroken that we had to say goodbye to our little girl Blu early this morning.

“I am going to miss you so much my darling girl, your escaping through the fence, chasing the squirrels out of the garden, our long walks in the woods watching you run carefree, going upstairs when we say ‘bed time’ and getting on mummy’s bed instead of in your own and most of all your kisses and cuddles every day.”

She added: “I wanted to share this with you because I know so many of you follow their Insta page and loved seeing what Blu and Rudi were up to and loved them as much as we did.

“We’ll miss you so much, sleep tight our gorgeous Bluebells. Love you forever Mummy, Chaz and Beau Beaus,” she added.

Jamie is understood to have been on holiday with his wife Frida Andersson, 38, and their now three-month-old son Raphael Redknapp when Blubelle passed away.

He however shared a photo of the dog walking through a park and paid tribute in a caption alongside it, writing: “Goodbye beautiful girl we will miss you so much.”
