Is Luke Shaw a devout Muslim? The Religion of Football Players

Luke Shaw is a practising Muslim. Photos of the England left back enjoying Ramadan have piqued the interest of fans interested in his religious background. Let’s read on to learn more.
In the English Premier League, Luke Shaw represents Manchester United as a professional footballer. Both Manchester and the England team use him as a left back.

Shaw has been an integral part of England’s success on the way to the Euro Cup finals in 2020. He’s been fantastic for the Three Lions, helping them win three of their five matches thus far.

Despite his position as a left back, Luke Shaw takes an offensive approach to the game. Because of their similar positions on the pitch, he has been compared to a young Gareth Bale.

There’s been a lot of talk about how Luke Shaw recently became a Muslim convert. But he hasn’t spoken anything about it, and the specific timing of it is unknown.

On July 12, 1995, Luke Shaw was born to Paul and Joanna Shaw. The London Borough of Kingston upon Thames is where he spent his childhood. Growing up, he was a Chelsea fan who spent time in the club’s youth academy.

His family’s religious background is unknown. So, we can’t say for sure when he converted or what religion he practised before. Until Luke tells us more, we have no way of knowing for sure.
