The site allows women to share accounts of horrible partners, but it prevents posting actual personal contact information, so it stops short of doxing a poor chap.
“Textbook covert narcissist,” as Mira from Naperville, Illinois, puts it, describes her partner Mike.
Denver, Colorado resident Kim writes in to tell that her long-term lover Steve was a “pathological liar” and a “smooth talking con artist” who she eventually discovered to be both.
The one story about how her ex-boyfriend Kevin from Ohio is a cheater who has genital warts is short and to the point.
Others, like Chicago’s James, give much more extensive accounts of their lives. This ex-Navy SEAL’s actions clearly angered him. She penned an open letter detailing the rocky conclusion to her four-year romance with him.
The site’s proprietor assured me that despite its name, it is not primarily a place to hate guys but rather a place to empower women by providing them with a safe space to discuss dating, relationships, and, okay, complain about their exes.
Men Suck creator Tracy Roberts claims that the concept for the ex-boyfriend list started from a single article about her best friend’s ex-husband who cheated on her and left her and her two children to fend for themselves while he hooked up with a 19-year-old that he found online. “After posting the story about Doug, people began writing in to tell me their own tales about their horrific ex-boyfriends, and I decided I really needed to offer up a forum for anyone who wanted to share their experience. And that’s how the list of exes came to be.”
I feel bad for the unfortunate schmuck who breaks up with a woman as an ex-boyfriend list and then discovers MenSuck.com, which now has over 300 posts and is constantly being updated with new ones. For the simple reason that she can now tell everyone everything horrible you’ve ever done to her.
